Remarkable Achievement

We are delighted to share the wonderful news that Dr Anthony Adegoke, one of our GP Partners, has been admitted as a Fellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners (FRCGP). This prestigious honour is awarded in recognition of his outstanding contribution to General Practice over the past 30 years.

Dr Adegoke has been a cornerstone of Wells Park Practice, dedicating his career to providing compassionate, highquality care to our community in Lewisham. His passion for General Practice, particularly in ethnic minority health and substance misuse, has been evident in every facet of his work.

Beyond his clinical excellence, he has played a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of healthcare professionals, having trained countless students, registrars, nurses, and allied health professionals—many of whom have gone on to become local GPs, Clinical Directors and GP partners.

Dr Adegoke has also been deeply involved in community development, chairing local health initiatives and advocating
for patient participation and engagement. He currently serves on the PCN Board and as the practice’s Cancer Lead.

His patients will be unsurprised by this recognition, as so many have stories of the care and attention he has provided—such as the grateful gentleman who said, “You saved my life,” or the mother whose son is alive today thanks to a prompt, life-saving diagnosis. We are incredibly proud to have Dr Adegoke leading our team, and we congratulate him on this richly deserved honour.
