Flu and COVID 19 Vaccinations

From April 2026, the way flu and COVID-19 vaccinations are delivered in general practice is changing to make the process simpler and more convenient for patients.

GP practices can now provide both vaccinations directly, rather than through larger external hubs. This means more patients will be able to receive their vaccines at their own surgery, with familiar staff and in a comfortable setting.  For patients registered with us, COVID-19 vaccinations will be provided to eligible housebound patients during May and June. Later in the year, during September and October, we will offer both flu and COVID-19 vaccinations together through clinics at the practice, as well as for those who are housebound.  The invitation system has also been streamlined, so you may receive a single combined call or message when you are due for your vaccinations.

These changes are designed to improve access, increase uptake, and help keep our community protected.

We will share further details about our September/October clinics, including dates and booking information, closer to the start of the flu vaccination season. If you have any questions, please speak to a member of our team
