Practice Newsletter: December 2025

Christmas 2025 and New Year Opening

We would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy and Prosperous 2026. If you become unwell while the surgery is closed, call 111 and you will be directed appropriately. Similarly, please endeavor to order your repeat prescriptions on time. We are able to send them electronically to the Pharmacy of your choice within 48 business hours. The weeks preceding Christmas and New Year are the busiest for Pharmacies and the Practice.

Due to the limited number of clinicians available during these weeks, we will be offering same day appointments only at the Practice.

We therefore ask that you please consider this when requesting GP appointments.

Carers’ Leaflet & PPG Meeting

We are delighted to announce the launch of our Carers’ Leaflet, created to offer practical advice and support for those caring for loved ones. This resource is now available at the practice and aims to make it easier for carers to access the help they need.

To mark this launch and discuss future plans, we will be holding a Patient Participation Group (PPG) meeting on Thursday, 11 December. This is a fantastic opportunity to share your ideas, ask questions, and help
shape the way we support our community. If you would like to attend, please contact us by 12 noon on Friday, 5 December to confirm your place. Once we hear from you, we’ll send full details about the venue and agenda

Staff News

forward to supporting them during their time with us. We also say goodbye and best wishes to Dr Sakshi Garg, who recently completed their rotation. Thank you for your hard work and contribution to the team.

At the end of November, we said farewell to Sola, our Care Coordinator, who has moved on to a role closer to home. We wish her every success for the future. We are pleased to share that Danielle who joined
us as a Care Navigator recently, has now stepped into Sola’s former role, and, we extend a warm welcome to Kobby, who has joined our Care Navigating team.

Macmillan Coffee & Cake Sale!

We are so grateful to everyone, staff and patients alike who came together on 1 October to support our Macmillan Cancer coffee and cake sale. Your kindness and generosity, along with the amazing effort led by
Noreen, helped us raise £80 for this cause. The full amount has now been donated to Macmillan Cancer Support, where it will go towards providing vital care and services for people affected by cancer.

We loved seeing the community spirit in action and can’t wait to do it again. We are already planning more fundraising events for 2026 to support a variety of charities. Watch this space for details, and we thank you for making a difference!
